Child Protection Policy

Our commitment to keeping every child safe, respected and protected in all our programs.

Last updated: 29 September 2026

01Our Commitment

Heartfull Foundation believes every child has the right to be safe, respected and protected from harm. We have zero tolerance for any form of abuse, exploitation, neglect or discrimination against children.

02Scope

This policy applies to all founders, staff, volunteers, interns, partners, visitors and anyone who comes into contact with children through Heartfull Foundation's programs and events.

03Code of Conduct

Everyone working with children through the Foundation must:

  • Treat every child with dignity and respect, regardless of background, gender, religion, caste or ability.
  • Avoid being alone with a child out of sight of other adults wherever possible.
  • Never use physical punishment, abusive language or humiliating behaviour.
  • Never share personal contact details with, or contact, children privately outside Foundation activities.
  • Report any concern about a child's safety immediately.

04Safe Recruitment

Volunteers and staff working directly with children may be asked for identity proof, references and, where appropriate, background verification before being assigned to child-related activities.

05Photographs and Media

Photographs or videos of children are taken and used only with consent from a parent or guardian. We avoid sharing full names, school names or locations that could identify or endanger a child, and never publish images that are degrading or undignified.

06Reporting Concerns

Any concern, suspicion or disclosure of harm must be reported immediately to the Founder or a designated team member. All reports are treated seriously, handled confidentially and, where required, referred to the appropriate authorities, including CHILDLINE (1098) and the police.

07Response to Violations

Any breach of this policy may lead to immediate removal from Foundation activities, termination of association and referral to law enforcement where applicable.
