Volunteer Policy

Guidelines for everyone who gives their time to support Heartfull Foundation.

01Welcome

Volunteers are at the heart of our work. This policy explains what volunteers can expect from us and what we expect from volunteers.

02Eligibility

Anyone aged 18 and above may apply to volunteer. Volunteers under 18 may take part in selected activities with written consent from a parent or guardian and under adult supervision.

03Application and Onboarding

  • Submit a volunteer application through our website or by contacting us.
  • Provide accurate personal details and, where requested, identity proof.
  • Attend an orientation covering our mission, programs and Child Protection Policy.
  • The Foundation may accept or decline applications at its discretion.

04Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Follow the Child Protection Policy and code of conduct at all times.
  • Be punctual and inform the coordinator in advance if unable to attend.
  • Respect the privacy and dignity of children, families and fellow volunteers.
  • Not accept or request money or gifts from beneficiaries.
  • Not represent the Foundation publicly or on social media without permission.

05What We Offer Volunteers

  • A safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Clear guidance, orientation and support from coordinators.
  • Opportunities to learn, grow and make a meaningful impact.
  • A volunteer certificate on request, based on participation.

06Unpaid Role

Volunteering with Heartfull Foundation is unpaid. Reimbursement of any pre-approved expenses will be handled as agreed with the coordinator in advance.

07Confidentiality

Volunteers must keep confidential any personal information about children, families, donors or the Foundation that they come across during their work.

08Ending Volunteer Engagement

Volunteers may end their association at any time by informing us. The Foundation may end a volunteer's association if this policy or the Child Protection Policy is breached.
